The NPDES general permit for stormwater discharges associated with industrial activity became effective August 1, 2006. RMA is equipped to assist industrial clients meet the new requirements.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT IN THE NEW PERMIT?
Facilities with
discharges to Impaired Stream Segments, listed on the Georgia
303(d) list are required to develop, implement, and maintain their Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3)
to be consistent with the TMDL, and are subject to additional
sampling requirements.
Annual non-storm water discharge certification is
required.
Authorization of discharges composed of
uncontaminated compressor condensate.
Numeric effluent limitations for storm water discharges
Applicable EPCRA Section 313 water priority
chemicals must be identified
in the SWP3
Revised annual sampling requirements
New sampling parameters
Identify all potential industrial
sources of fecal coliform that may be exposed to storm
water in the SWP3
