The southern United States contain many acres of forest land with many rivers, streams and bodies of water. The ground cover within the forests naturally filters the rainfall as it flows overland to the rivers and streams. The forested land also buffers the water shed from pollutants and other impurities.
For many of the larger cities and counties, this natural water source (surface water) provides a significant quantity of their water supply. RMA has assisted many of our clients develop a surface water supply.
